Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to get rid of my things?
Absolutely not! We will work together to decide what (if anything) you’d like or feel comfortable to part with, what you’d like to keep, and the best place/way to store it.
I'd like help, but I don't feel comfortable having someone I don't know in my home. What can I do?
Why not book a virtual session. I can guide you through a sorting session without even needing to be there. When we’ve done a virtual session, you might feel ready to work with me in-person, but if not that’s absolutely fine.
How long will it take to organise my kitchen?
How long a project takes depends on how much needs sorting, and how many important decisions need to be made. It will vary from home to home, and person to person. Please contact me for a consultation so I can give you a better idea of your specific project.
What will happen to any things I decide to part with?
Together, we will organise everything to go into categories and decide if you want to sell it, take it to a charity shop, the recycling centre, or I can arrange for it to be picked up. Charges may apply.
Can you help me decide what to keep?
Certainly! I have a range of approaches to suit different people, from helping you to develop a clear system for scoring each item if that’s how you like to work, or just asking you helpful questions to lead discussion. Rest-assured, all discussion will be all about your needs, and centred around helping you feel comfortable.
What makes you different?
My twenty years as a driving instructor in my former career gives me some unique approaches to helping you with organisation. I’m extremely calm and patient, an expert at breaking down complicated tasks into manageable elements, and guiding people to achieve goals within challenging circumstances.
